Server MakeOver - Part I
The server which Rautermods.net is hosted by is in fact an ordinarily desktop. A Compaq to make it worse!
I got it cheap; only about 400 Swedish crowns.
I have had this computer for some time now and as you may expect I, as a modder, couldn't let it stay the way it was when I got it. When I got the computer I painted it. Unfortunately the result wasn't up to satisfaction. I got tired of trying to make it look good so I just painted the whole thing black and let it be, until now.
This is the first part of three. During these articles I'm going to mod the server quite a lot. In this part I'm going to radically change the front of the server and mount a LCD.

My plan was to make the computer look more or less like this. Some paint and a LCD mounted in the front.

There's only one place where the LCD would fit and that place is on the left side of the front.

Because of the shapes of the front the area had to be remade almost from scratch. Only the edges were spared.
