Clear Radio Case
There was a time, that was wasted and where absolute boredom ruled the kingdom. Then a mighty knight found a black box that could make sound out of thin air.
The looks of my, very old, walkman didn't quite appeal my taste. So what should I have done then?
Well, this is a mod-site!
The walkman is, as I said, very old. Around 10 years I would say. It's a Sharp-product that has both AM/FM radio and a tape player. I was after the radio and I was hoping that I could isolate it within the circuit board. No such luck there. But the board was quite thin and small after I had removed all unnecessary components, like the motor and steel frames etc, so it didn't really matter. I started modding anyway.

Ohh, look! A big space one the circuit board (marked red). Perfect for the two AA-batteries. But those two capacitors are in the way. After some testing I found out that those was vital to be there, if I wanted to have any sound in the right earphone.

Solution: Solder four wires, one for each leg, and then solder the capacitors on them.

Some glue to hold them down to the circuit board.

Here are the battery-thingies that hold and connect the batteries. Of course I'm going to use them.

Here is the "cage" for the batteries. Came out stronger than I thought it would be, always a good thing!

Even if it became a strong structure I couldn't help myself reinforcing the backside. The pressure would be the strongest at the ends so it was better to be safe than sorry.
