CD-Manager Makeover

This time it's a friend of mine who is publishing an article. His alias is Ballistic and he is, what most computer nerds would call, a newbie (or n00b for CS-geeks) in the modding world.
But with my help he has made a quite nice looking mod.

And now over to Ballistic:

First of all, what the heck is a CD-manager?
It's a very convenient thingy that helps you store your CDs so you don't end up running around turning the house upside down while looking for a CD that you have misplaced. The manager can be used as a standalone machine, but the package also includes a cable that you can plug into your computers serial-port, which makes it to an accessory to the computer and making it very easy to browse your CDs and get the one you're looking for by using the software. The manager that I got can handle up to 72 CDs, but if you want more space you can just buy another one and connect them to each other like a module system.

Fortunately, I did get this one for free. Well actually, I had to pay the shipping myself, but I thought that it was worth the 150 Swedish crowns (~$20).

This was how the package looked when I got it. Not so exciting eh?

When I opened the package, my eyes met an even uglier cardboard box.

The contents of the box was:
  • A CD-manager
  • Instruction booklet
  • Software CD
  • DC-adapter

As you can see, it's not the most beautiful computer accessory you can find, but that will soon change.
